  • Wingshooting USA TV Public service Innitiative sees 40,000th Vote

P.J. Klawitter of Mulberry Grove, Illinois was the 40,000th voter in the Wingshooting USA TV ā€œTruckVault Cares … for conservation, canines & kidsā€ sweepstakes. The multimedia initiative raises funds and public awareness for six non-profit groups, including Scholastic Clay Target Program, for which Klawitter is a coach. It is sponsored by Wingshooting USA and TruckVault secure vehicle storage systems, with additional support from Filson apparel, Fausti shotguns, Kent Cartridge ammo and Tri-Tronics electronic training collars.

Klawitter receives a Tri-Tronics Sport Jr. collar for his vote. ā€œThanks for the collar, and the whole contest. I am a coach of an SCTP Trap team and appreciate any gesture that promotes kids and sporting activities,ā€ he said upon notification of his vote.

Other groups benefitting from the year-long effort include Ruffed Grouse Society, Gun Dog Rescue groups, International Hunter Education Association, North American Grouse Partnership and the AKC-Canine Health Foundation. Every vote sends a proportional amount of the $10,000 prize fund to the group’s treasury. Besides sharing in the funds raised, Linden says all groups also benefit from heightened public awareness of their work.

Together, the groups claim over a million member-supporters. Currently, the AKC Canine Health Foundation leads in voting, which has been a back-and-forth battle between that group and the Scholastic Clay Target Program. For more information or to vote, go to www.truckvaultcares.com.

Through television commercials and in-show features, Wingshooting USA viewers are educated to each group’s mission and urged to vote online for their favorite group. Members can also use social media to ā€œget out the vote,ā€ sending additional voters to the site to raise more funds. Each group is represented at the site by a Labrador puppy; voting is tracked by noting the amount of kibble in each puppy's food bowl. The initiative runs through March, 2012.

Wingshooting USA is the official TV series of the National Shooting Sports Foundation. It airs on Pursuit Channel and four other networks nationwide.

  • Fantastic times at the TruckVault BBQ!

Annual TruckVault Picnic a Home Run

The 2011 TruckVault picnic featuring our very hotly contested annual softball game was held under sunny skies again this year.

As in years past, there were many memorable moments on the diamond highlighted by both senior and new employees alike. Clyde Shaver and Joyceann Sheridan were nominated as honorary captains and both led equally impressive squads into this year’s match-up. However, buoyed by timely hitting and relentless defense it was Clyde’s team that overwhelmed Joyceann’s 31-12 in 4 innings; scoring 19 in the final frame to salt away the win.

Cries of ā€œfoulā€ play already have surfaced leading to more spirited banter which surely will bring an even more competitive nature to the field of play in ’12. Thanks to all that attended in making this year’s event a rousing success and look forward to seeing you all next year.

    Sometimes more is more.

There is a school of thought that espouses lightness in off-road machinery. The theory is, when weight is removed, less power is required and the vehicle can hop up on rocks and maneuver around obstacles with less effort, resulting in surprising performance, less cost, and less component breakage. We've even known a few people who make it work.

  • Winners: Jan & Charles Alphonso

Autozone Winner of Pickup and TruckVault Announced!

Needless to say winning this beautiful 2009 FORD 4X4 truck, equipped with an Extreme All-Weather TruckVault, was one of the most exciting moments of my life!

I was planting flowers in my front yard with help from my gardener when the FedEx truck pulled up to my curb. After reading the letter (several times) from the National Sweepstakes Company advising me that I was the Grand Prize winner, I nearly passed out!

I was jumping up and down, grabbed and hugged the gardener, then as a neighbor was walking his dog by the house I grabbed and hugged him too! I can’t imagine what they both must have thought. I couldn’t even speak as I handed the letter to my neighbor to read.

I called my husband at work to tell him my great news but I could only cry. You see I am giving the truck to my husband for Christmas since his FORD truck is getting up there in years and has lots of miles on it. He is a really good guy and has had a tough last three years. After having a four-way bi-pass that went terribly wrong, he almost lost his life. He was in the hospital almost two months and has had five surgeries within three years. I quit my job to care for him so as you can imagine financially this set us back quite a bit.

He is doing pretty good now and I’m happy to be able to give him new wheels and NO truck payments! The money he gets from selling his old truck will be going to our daughter so she can get a better car.

I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for having this sweepstakes and making several people in my life very happy.

    We all thank you!

  • Casey Jones, you and the Kawasaki Disease Foundation are winners!

The ballots are in, the votes counted, and the Clay Target Shootout TV show’s ā€œViewers’ Choiceā€ competition is now a matter of record. Casey Jones of Texas was the top vote-getter from among almost 50 shooters who competed on the series created and produced by Scott Linden.

Casey was one of the show’s ā€Young Guns,ā€ competing in the Scholastic Clay Target Program. Almost 10,000 television viewers went to the National Sporting Clays and National Skeet Shooting Associations’ websites to vote. Jones chose the Kawasaki Disease Foundation as beneficiary should he win the balloting, and that organization will be receiving $1,000 from Linden. He will take home a ProMatic Firefly trap thrower and a TruckVault for garnering the most votes for his charity.

Clay Target Shootout is the official television series of both the National Sporting Clays Association and National Skeet Shooting Association. More information: 541-382-1726 or www.scottlindenoutdoors.com

TruckVault Completes 2nd Hero Hunt of 2009 Campaign

Sedro Woolley, WA (2/6/09) TruckVault, Inc., makers of the world's finest in-vehicle secure firearms storage solutions, announced today the completion of its second of three Hero Hunts slated to air as part of their Xtreme Hunts television series lineup for 2009.

TruckVault provides three all expense paid hunting trips annually as part of an ongoing campaign that honors deserving American heroes who unselfishly serve our country through law enforcement, fire and rescue services, and the armed forces.

On this hunt Captain Anthony Lopez and Sergeant Jason Riley, two deserving soldiers of the New Mexico Army National Guard, joined TruckVault's Xtreme Hunts host, Mark Kayser, and Bob King of the Santa Fe Guiding Company at the Felix Canyon Ranch for some exciting south-central New Mexico Scaled Quail hunting. The ranch, most famously known as the place that Billy the Kid was staying as history unfolded, later became the basis for the movie "Young Guns". Both Lopez and Riley came highly recommended by their superiors for time served in Iraq and Afghanistan.
